Wooten recognized by High Country Conservancy
After five years of service to
the High Country Conservancy (HCC), Jim Wooten is resigning from the organization's board of
trustees
"From 2004 to 2009, Jim brought extraordinary commitment to the board, along
with a keen business sense," a spokesperson for the High Country Conservancy said. "He served for
a significant period as HCC's vice president. He was also instrumental in starting HCC's Hotel
Giving program, a program that continues to raise thousands of dollars for local land
conservation."
"Naturally drawn to the outdoors, Jim remains invested in High Country
conservation efforts and proud of what the organization has accomplished," the spokesperson said.
"It has been a privilege to serve on HCC's board. HCC has accomplished so much in our area, and
it's wonderful knowing that our work will benefit future generations for years to come. I hope to
stay involved and continue to help our conservation efforts here succeed," Wooten said.
