Sherrie Norris featured in POLITICO
All About Women editor and “Lovin’ Spoonful” columnist
Sherrie Norris is the subject of an Oct. 9 essay authored by U.S. Rep. Virginia Foxx in
POLITICO, which reaches between 4 and 5 million unique visitors online each month and
distributes 35,000 newspapers in Washington and Manhattan.
The essay, published Oct. 9, is featured in a series in which women reveal the women they most admire, part of a larger effort by POLITICO, Google and The Tory Burch Foundation exploring how women are leading change in politics, policy and their communities.
“Sherrie has served as the editor of All About Women magazine in my state and has dedicated its pages to giving much-deserved attention to women who would never seek the spotlight on their own or who mistake their duties as breadwinners, caretakers, artists and moms as mundane or somehow un-newsworthy,” Foxx wrote. “In Sherrie’s mind, theirs are stories that need to be told. Sherrie Norris is a woman of principle, a woman of pragmatism, a woman of conviction, a woman who inspires. That’s not a secret in Boone, but it’s a delight to let a little more of the country in on it.”
