Royal flush for Every Drop Counts

In June 2011, the Boone Town Council approved a WaterSense High Efficiency Toilet Rebate Program to bolster the current Every Drop Counts water conservation program.

The goal of the program is to continue water conservation awareness by actively involving the community.

Town of Boone water customers are eligible by replacing a 1.6-gallon-per-flush (or higher) toilet with a WaterSense labeled high-efficiency toilet. Upon installation, residents will be asked to fill out a rebate application, submit the original sales receipt and a copy of their most current water bill.

Boone officials stressed this is a pilot program with limited funding that will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Single-family residences are eligible for up to three $100 rebates, and multi-family and commercial residences are eligible for up to 10 $50 rebates.
