Low Income Energy Assistance

Applications for the Fuel Assistance Program,t Ashe Family Central, located at 626 Ashe Central School Road in Jefferson, on Nov. 2, to 6, 9 to10, and 12 to 13.

The office will be closed on Nov. 11 for Veteran's Day. This is not a first-come, first-serve program. You must sign an application and have your eligibility determined in order to qualify. Eligibility is based on income received in October. If at all possible, bring verification of October's income when applying. If you are unable to come into the office, you may have someone come in and apply for you.

Many Food Stamp recipients will automatically be eligible for an energy check. If you received a notice that you were denied, you will need to apply on the above dates.
