The Boone Sunrise Rotary Club announce that the fruit area residents ordered from Florida Indian Groves will be arriving this week.

The fruit was picked and boxed Saturday and will be delivered to Legends, located at 190 Hardin St. on the ASU campus (across the street from the Red Onion Cafe).

Distribution of the fruit is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, Dec. 10-11, from 1:30 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 13, from 1 to 4 p.m.

"We appreciate you ordering fruit from Boone Sunrise Rotary. This is the eighth year that we have held the 'Great Fruit for a Great Cause' fundraiser in support of many local community projects," a Rotary spokesperson said.

"We were joined in the fruit sale again this year by the Interact Club of Watauga High School.

"More than 800 cases of fruit were ordered and the club will have 65 extra cases of fruit for sale at Legends during pick up. Please let us know if you would like to purchase additional fruit," he said.

For more information, call 773-1373 or the Rotary member who took your fruit order.
