Community Care Clinic auction Oct. 9
The Community Care Clinic will hold an auction and Cupcake Carnival to raise funds to support the clinic's medical services to low-income, uninsured community members.
The auction will be held on Saturday, Oct. 9, from 2-5 p.m., at Boone United Methodist Church on New Market Boulevard. Admission will be $5 for individuals and $10 per family.
The event will feature a live auction by N.C. Rep. Cullie Tarleton, a silent auction, live music, and cupcakes and drinks. Local musicians and The Appalachian Rhythm Cloggers will perform. Items to be auctioned include a Richard Tumbleston print; passes to Tweetsie Railroad; tickets to the Barter Theatre; a weekend stay at a condo in Charleston, S.C.; a gift certificate to RiverGirl Fishing Company; poetry and fiction manuscript consultations; and a book group presentation by a Shakespeare scholar.
For more information, or to donate items or services for auction, contact Rebecca Moore at (828) 265-8591.

It is the last stop on the AppalCART's Green Route. New patients who are uninsured are welcome to call the appointment line at (828) 265-8591.
