Checking out a Check

Shelby Lane, center, and Jack James of the Watauga Library Endowment present a check for $2,610 to Watauga County Public Library Adult Services Librarian Evelyn Johnson on Tuesday at the library. The endowment gift will be used to help in areas hit hard by this year's cutbacks in state funding.
