And the winner is...

Thanks to Judith Winecoff and her pals at the Watauga County Library, we now know that birds use newspaper for other, more worthwhile purposes. Even Big Bird.

Big Bird has earned Winecoff and company a $25 gift certificate to Vidalia in downtown Boone.

Winecoff also has an appropriate e-mail signature: "Birds make great sky circles of their freedom. How do they learn it? They fall, and falling, they're given wings." - Rumi
To claim your prize, Judith, call (828) 264-6397 and ask for Frank, or e-mail (frank@mountaintimes.com)

To everyone else, winning is easy. Simply display your MT sticker and take a photo. By sending the photo to (frank@mountaintimes.com) , along with your contact information, you're instantly eligible to win a prize from area businesses and restaurants.

There's a new winner every week, so keep checking The Mountain Times to see if you, someone you know (or their pet) has made the page.

Stickers are available at our office (474 Industrial Park Drive in Boone), participating businesses, or with Mountain Times staff at area events and goings-on. Just ask!

For more information, or to submit a photo, e-mail (frank@mountaintimes.com)
