Murder, Mystery and a Meal
What's better than a whodunit? A whodunit with dessert.
That's what Ensemble Stage Company is serving up at Crippen's Restaurant and Country Inn in Blowing Rock on Saturday, April 16, when the company presents the live, interactive murder mystery, "Murderous Vineyard."
The show starts at 10:30 p.m. Admission is $35 per person and includes wine tastings and a bottomless dessert tray.
The murder mystery presents the Frudee Family, renowned in the winemaking business for generations. Their winery, while not entirely successful, has managed to stay afloat despite the loathing criticism of local wine critic William Beabore.
When the Frudee Brothers, Doodie and Rudy, along with distant cousin Judy, make an amazing discovery that will revolutionize their wine making, everything changes. Doodie's wife, Trudy, will do anything to help her husband and his family business, while Rudy's wife, Prudy, doesn't want to reveal a secret that might stain her spotless reputation.
Last year's Ensemble Stage Company Murder Mystery sold out, so be sure to grab your tickets in advance for this fun evening of interactive dinner theater.
