'Miracle on the Mountain' drama begins
The outdoor drama, 'Miracle on the Mountain,' returns to Crossnore July 14-16.
Crossnore's outdoor drama, "Miracle on the Mountain," is celebrating its fifth production year this summer.
"Miracle on the Mountain," a play by Bill Wilson, is an adaptation for stage of the school's founder, Mary Martin Sloop's memoir, "Miracle in the Hills."
Performances will be at 7 p.m. July 14, 15 and 16, with one matinee Saturday, July 16, at 10 a.m.
"This deeply moving and historical drama, directed by Cathy Stallings, is performed in the Sloop Amphitheater on the campus of The Crossnore School," the spokesperson said. Tickets are on sale now for $12 each and a chicken box lunch will also be available for $6 after the Saturday matinee. Theatergoers may also buy tickets at the gate if seating is available.
The Neighbors, of Lenoir, will again provide musical interludes throughout the performance, and food and beverages will be provided in the concession area by Miracle Grounds Coffee Café and Creamery.
