It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Well, not
really, but that will change in about a month or so. If you are one of those people who really enjoy
the Christmas holidays, you might want to think about joining the folks at Ensemble Stage in their
presentation of “Christmas in Blowing Rock 3.”
Auditions for “Christmas in Blowing Rock 3”
will be held at the Blowing Rock School Auditorium from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, and from
6:30 to 10 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17.
Producers from Ensemble Stage are looking for a male or
female adult host who can sing and dance, plus four to six adults singers and dancers who are 17
years of age or older.
Ensemble’s also looking for a kids chorus made up of five to eight
kids ages 5 to 16. Additionally, they are looking for a rhythm guitarist, bassist and a drummer to
accompany a musical director.
Ensemble Stage is also searching for a ballet dancer or
interpretive dancer for the production of “Christmas in Blowing Rock 3.”
Auditioning singers
should bring sheet music with them for the auditions, but it is not a strict requirement.
“Christmas in Blowing Rock 3” is a holiday variety show, featuring singing, dancing and
comedy skits based on the Andy Williams and Bing Crosby holiday specials of the 1960s and 1970s.
There will be three or four performances of the stage show to be held at the Blowing Rock School
Auditorium in mid-December.
