Tickets for Hayes holiday concert series on sale
The holiday season begins Nov. 30 in Appalachian State
University’s Hayes School of Music with a six-day holiday concert series showcasing student
musicians.
The events raise funds for student scholarships.
“’Tis the Season”
replaces the traditional holiday scholarship concert typically held in Farthing Auditorium, which is
unavailable because of renovations occurring to the facility.
All performances will be held
in Rosen Concert Hall. Reserved seats for each concert are $5. Tickets are available from the
Valborg Theatre box office or by calling (800) 841-2787, (828) 262-3063 or (828) 262-4046. Tickets
will be available at the door for those events not sold out prior to the performance.
“While
we can’t present a concert that features as many as a dozen ensembles in one evening, we are
confident that audiences will enjoy one or all of the series of events planned for presentation in
Rosen Concert Hall,” said Stephen Hopkins, event coordinator.
“This schedule will allow each
featured group to present a more in-depth program of compositions than during previous holiday
concerts. Sellouts are expected, so we encourage our audiences to purchase tickets
early.”
The series schedule is as follows:
Friday, Nov. 30, at 7:30 p.m.,
University Singers and Chamber Choir
Sunday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m., Appalachian Symphony
