If celebrating Mardi Gras this week has put you in the mood to dance, Canyons of the Blue Ridge in Blowing Rock has the band for you. Supatight, a funk and reggae quintet from Durham, will perform at Canyons, beginning at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25. The show is free and open to the public.
Supatight features Tyler Mack on bass and lead vocals, Michael Domanico on rhythm guitar, Torrey Beek on lead guitar, Max Palmer on drums and Nigel Kher on saxophone.
The band’s forte is tight, snappy funk tunes with a dose of reggae and the occasional bit of comedic country music.
