Monday, June 25, will see the first of five performances to take place as part of the Monday Night Concert Series in Blowing Rock.

Series founder Amy Marie Young will perform with Krista Wells, Barter Theatre pianist Steve Sensenig and special guest Federico Eiguchi.

Eiguchi is best known for singing in the style of tango. He has performed in Philadelphia, Japan, Buenos Aires and Argentina and has toured on various cruise lines. He will offer musical theater selections, as well, for the June 25 concert.

The Monday Night Concert Series takes place in the Broyhill Park, off of Clark Street in Blowing Rock. These park concerts offer a relaxed, casual atmosphere for guests and residents of Blowing Rock to enjoy free entertainment.

Each show will feature various types of music, including jazz, musical theater, bluegrass and contemporary. Concerts begin at 7 p.m., and audiences are asked to bring a lawn chair or blanket for their comfort. The inclement weather location is the American Legion Building on Park Avenue.
