Monday Night Concert Series lineup announced
Entering its 14th year of entertaining visitors and residents
of the High Country, Blowing Rock's Monday Night Concert Series once again offers an eclectic lineup
June 24 will feature MNCS director and performer Amy Marie Young, who is returning to the High Country for the summer of 2013 from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
She brings with her tango singer Federico Euiguchi, who has performed tango and musical theater in Japan and Buenos Aires and often performs cabarets for cruiselines. Long-time MNCS performer Krista Wells will be returning on June 24, as well, along with audience favorite, composer and pianist Steve Sensenig.
The Monday Night Concert Series takes place in Broyhill Park, off of Clark Street in Blowing Rock. These park concerts offer a relaxed, casual atmosphere for guests and residents of Blowing Rock, featuring various types of music, including jazz, musical theater, bluegrass and contemporary. Concerts begin at 7 p.m., and audiences are asked to bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating. The inclement weather location is the American Legion Building on Park Avenue.
