July 7 will mark the second of five concerts in the Monday Night Concert Series in Blowing Rock.

The July 7 installment will feature Amy Marie Young, Krista Wells and pianist Steve Sensenig. Young and Wells are both graduates of Appalachian State University, and both worked at the Blowing Rock Farm House Inn and Restaurant as singing waitresses in the late 1990s. Sensenig is currently performing at the Barter Theatre, playing for its upcoming summer season.

The Monday Night Concert Series is in its 15th year and takes place in Broyhill Park, off of Clark Street in Blowing Rock. Each show will feature various types of music, including jazz, musical theater, folk, country and contemporary. Concerts begin at 7 p.m., and audiences are asked to bring a lawn chair or blanket for their comfort. The inclement weather location is the American Legion Building on Park Avenue or the Rotary building next to the swimming pool.

Following performances include:

• July 21: Amy Young, jazz guitarist Andy Page and Steve Sensenig
• Aug. 4 and 18: Brother Gravity

July 7’s free concert is offered by the town of Blowing Rock and sponsored by Blowing Rock Parks and Recreation.
