‘Messiah’ sing-along Dec. 9 at ASU
The eighth annual “Messiah” sing-along will be held
Sunday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. in Broyhill Music Center’s Rosen Concert Hall at Appalachian State
University.
Admission is free, but donations will be accepted for music scholarships through
Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society.
Hayes School of Music voice students will sing
the arias and the audience will be invited to sing the chorus parts from the Christmas portion of
Handel’s “Messiah,” including “Hallelujah.” Soloists are Caryn Crozier, Krista Hays, Carys
Kunze, Paulina Villarreal, John Vance Harmon II, Chris Plaas, Drew Griffin and Joshua
Joyner.
Audience music will be provided. Joby Bell will be the organist.
Students Allison Bedenbaugh, Christopher D. Langdon and Johnson Ramsaur will conduct.
