Fitting more than 90 performers on 14 stages over the course of four days is no easy task.

But when MerleFest opens for its 26th year Thursday, April 25, on the campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, artist relations manager Steve Johnson knows it’s worth it.

“To me, that’s when all the fun starts,” Johnson said. “When the first band takes the Watson Stage on Thursday, that, to me, will probably be the most exciting thing, because I know there’s a lot of good music to come.”

And he’s not joking. The full lineup features:
