This Thursday, Feb. 16, Atlanta-based Gringo Star returns to the Boone Saloon.

According to event organizers, “Brothers Nicholas and Pete Furgiuele, Pete DeLorenzo and Chris Kaufmann play each show as if their lives depended on it, and it’s that urgency combined with great song writing, pop beats and skilled harmonies that make their shows so memorable.”

Gringo Star will be joined by The Wild Tribe, formed mid-winter 2009 in Park City, Utah. By early 2010, the band was billed as “Park City’s Hottest Up and Coming Rock and Roll Band.”

Cover charge is $5, and only ages 21 and older will be admitted.

On Saturday, Feb. 18, Soul Benefactor will host its third annual Winter Soul Spectacular, featuring local artists performing the classics. The show starts at 10 p.m., and cover costs $5.

Boone Saloon is located at 489 W. King St. in downtown Boone.
