Firefall in Wilkes Feb. 17
Firefall will perform Feb. 17 at the Walker Center in Wilkesboro.
The Walker Center, on the campus of Wilkes Community College,
will present Firefall on Friday, Feb. 17, at 8 p.m.
The musical roots of Firefall run deep
into the fertile soil of American folk rock music. The band transcends and embraces many industry
labels – from rock and Americana to contemporary country, and is acclaimed for serving up
“overwhelming, infectious helpings of fun and spontaneity in the highest degree.”
In 30 years
of making music, Firefall has sold millions of records and earned two platinum and three gold
albums.
Known for such hits as “Just Remember I Love You,” “You Are the Woman” and
“Cinderella,” Firefall has shared the stage with Fleetwood Mac, The Doobie Brothers, The Band,
Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Beach Boys, Bob Seger and many others.
According to event organizers,
“Firefall is distinguished as one of the top bands from the music genre called Americana, standing
out as one of the few remaining torchbearers for harmony-laden rock, a welcome blast from the past
focused firmly on the future.”
