Corey Smith performs Feb. 5
Corey Smith is putting the “country” in “High Country” Feb. 5,
when the popular singer-songwriter returns to Legends at Appalachian State
The music starts at 8 p.m.
Smith has performed at Legends on multiple occasions, one of many stops among his more than 1,000 live performances. According to his bio, he’s sold more than 1 million tickets and has performed after such high-profile acts as the Zac Brown Band, Brantley Gilbert and Florida Georgia Line.
To Smith, however, success is performing on stage.
“I love being on stage; it’s certainly what it’s all about,” he said in a news release. “You feel like you’re as big as the whole room, because you can hear the audience; you can feel that they’re connecting.”
In the studio, though, he’s sold more than 1.8 million digital singles and 250,000 albums, being named one of country’s “hottest new artists” by Country Weekly and MusicRow magazines. He’s presently working on his ninth full-length album, produced by Keith Stegall of Alan Jackson and Zac Brown Band fame.
