Blazing Bassoons perform Nov. 4

Blazing Bassoons, a 12-member musical ensemble from Appalachian
State University’s Hayes School of Music, will perform Nov. 4.
The program begins at 4
p.m. in Broyhill Music Center’s Rosen Concert Hall on campus. Admission is free.
The
program features “Suite” by Gotthilf Heinrich Kummer, “Tenderly” by Walter Gross, “Humorous
Scherzo” by Sergei Prokofiev, “Suite of Early American Tunes” by Christopher Weait and “Celtic
Spirit” by Bill Douglas.
Dr. Jon Beebe from the Hayes School of Music is the musical
coach for the ensemble.
