Annie Robinette to perform in Banner Elk
Banner Elk’s Concerts in the Park series returns to Tate-Evans Park June 19, with a performance by Annie Robinette.
According to Robinette’s bio, “Her sound is uniquely her own, delivered with power, emotion and intensity. The music is sophisticated without being complicated and has a firm acoustic texture with just enough electricity. Her powerful voice is the perfect vehicle to deliver stories within which you’re bound to find a piece of yourself.”
Robinette has played at Bristol Rhythm and Roots, Virginia Highlands Festival, Kingsport Concert series, Holston River Rally and more. She has been honored with several songwriting awards, including the 2012 Smoky Mountain Songwriters Competition.
For her Banner Elk performance, Robinette will be joined by Glen Harlow, Matt Osborne, Jim Price and Paul Robinette.
According to concert organizers, “We are excited to have this accomplished artist join the Banner Elk stage.”
The concert starts at 6:30 p.m. in Tate-Evans Park, located in downtown Banner Elk. Concert-goers should bring a chair or blanket, and food will also be available for purchase, although picnickers are also welcome.
Friendly dogs are also welcome, although they must be kept on a leash.
The Banner Elk Concerts in the Park series is produced by the Banner Elk Chamber of Commerce and town of Banner Elk. This particular concert is sponsored by Grandfather Vineyard & Winery.
