For the third year in a row, the Playhouse Family Music
Festival presents an eclectic slate of performers that both adults
and kids can enjoy without embarrassment.

The Playhouse Family Music Festival will be held 5:30-11 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 7, and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Historic
Cove Creek School in Sugar Grove, just 7 miles west of Boone.
Families can save $40 by purchasing an Early Bird Two Day Family
Pass to the music festival for $50, on sale now at www.goplayhouse.org.
This offer ends on July 24. This years festival will kick
off this year with a contra dance on Friday evening featuring
the music of Dot-Dot-Dash, the Forget-Me-Nots, Lost Ridge Band,
and Lisa Baldwin and Dave Haney.
Saturdays headliners include Sol Driven Train, Big Bang
Boom, and the Lazybirds. A truly family-friendly festival, it
will include tons of fun kids activities, inflatable playgrounds
and even a Kids Craft Market, where children can sell
their own artwork. Food and shopping will also be offered. Vendors

About The Childrens Playhouse
Situated in a renovated house at 400 Tracy Circle near
downtown Boone, The Childrens Playhouse provides children
from birth to age eight with an enriching, educational play
environment, while at the same time offering their parents and
caregivers friendly support in the important job of raising
children. Scholarship memberships are available for families
that meet income guidelines.
