Flying Frisbee Dogs at Tweetsie July 19-27
K-9s in Flight demonstrate disc skills thrice daily

Celebrate the ‘dog days of summer’ with Tweetsie Railroad and K-9s in Flight Frisbee Dogs. Audiences of all ages will be entertained for nine exciting days by this non-stop, action packed performance showcasing an entire team of dogs in acrobatic freestyle routines.

From July 19-27 John Misita’s entourage of incredibly talented, amazingly athletic canine friends will perform at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily for Tweetsie guests. The K-9s in Flight Frisbee Dogs performance is included in the regular admission prices to Tweetsie.

Whether snatching flying discs out of the air during a back flip, dock diving or taking a running leap off a human’s back, the team exemplifies the pinnacle of precision dog training. These incredible dogs have traveled across the country performing at halftime shows, on television programs and a variety of other public events.

A high-energy performance set to music, Misita and his group of trainers and dogs not only entertain, but also educate people about pet adoption, pet care and how proper nutrition and training can bring out the best in any dog, at any life stage. Most of the canine stars in the show are “rescue dogs” recovered from city pounds and animal shelters.

North Carolina’s first theme park offers these special events in addition to the daily offering of Wild West family fun, including meeting cowboys in an Old West town, exciting amusement rides, lively shows and of course, a ride on a train pulled by the famed steam-powered Tweetsie locomotive. Families can also enjoy the Deer Park zoo, Miner’s Mountain and live entertainment for all ages including the famed Diamond Lil’s Can-Can Revue in the Tweetsie Palace.

Tweetsie Railroad is located in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains on U.S. Highway 321 between Boone and Blowing Rock. The park is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Seating for the K-9’s in Flight Frisbee Dogs is on a first-come first-seated basis, and is included in Tweetsie Railroad’s regular admission prices of $30 for adults and $22 for children age 3 through 12. Children age 2 and under are free. Print at home tickets are available on www.tweetsie.com.
