Angel Food now available at three Watauga churches

Three Watauga County churches are now host sites for Angel Food Ministries, “a food ministry with a servant’s heart.” Angel Food offers a box of food valued at $60-$70 for the low price of $30, as well as specials each month for $18-$20 dollars each. The boxes feature frozen meats, fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, and staple items.

Anyone may purchase food from Angel Food. There is no membership, no qualifying income limits, no applications and no limit to the number of boxes you may order

Angel Food orders may be paid for with cash, check, money order or EBT food stamps.

Orders for May are due by May 16 at participating churches. Pickup is May 31 at each church. Participating churches are: Boone United Methodist Church, 471 New Market Blvd., Boone, N.C. 28607, (828) 264-6090; Laurel Springs Baptist Church, 7504 U.S. Hwy. 421 South, Deep Gap, N.C. 28618, (828) 262-1330; and Greenway Baptist Church, 880 Greenway Road, Boone, N.C. 28607, (828) 264-7750.
