Big prizes given away at Home Sweet Home Show

The 6th Annual Home Sweet Home Show was held April 19 at Ashe County High School for the first time

Ben Cox presenting Jerry & Rita Jordan of Ashe County Garage Doors with the 3rd place Best Booth Award. Ashe County Garage Doors won a $100.00 Gift Certificate to Frasers Restaurant. The Gift Certificate was donated by Frasers Restaurant and Main Street Marketing.

Ben Cox presenting High South Realty with a $500 gift card for Parker Tie Hardware. High South Realty won first place in the Best Booth Contest. The Gift card was donated by Parker Tie Hardware and Main Street Marketing. After winning the card, High South Realty gave it to the Ashe Sharing Center.

under the direction of Ben Cox, who recently became the new owner of Main Street Marketing (MSM).
Ninety-five vendors displayed impressive booths and gave away various prizes from their businesses. An estimated 3,500 people attended the Home Show.

One of the big attractions of this Home Show was the various door prizes. The prizes were a coffee basket donated by Bohemia and MSM, a movie basket donated by Magic Video, an IPod Nano donated by MSM, a DVD player donated by Mountain View TV and MSM and a grand prize of a 55 inch tv with stand donated by Mountain View and MSM. The tv was won by Jim Baldwin from Lansing.

People attending the show voted for their favorite booths. Third prize of a $100 Frasers Restaurant gift card donated by Frasers and MSM went to Ashe County Garage Doors. Second prize of a $250 overnight stay and meal at the River House Country Inn and Restaurant was donated by River House and went to Mountain View TV. First prize of a $500 gift card to Parker Tie donated by Parker Tie and MSM went to High South Realty and was donated by them to Sharing Company in Ashe County.
