Watauga Humane Society Rummage Sale June 17-18
Get ready for what the Watauga Humane Society's calling "the greatest sale on Earth."
The 30th annual Watauga Humane Society Rummage Sale will be held Friday and Saturday, June 17 and 18, at the National Guard Armory, just off State Farm Road and across from the swim complex in Boone. The two-day sale is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Once again this year, the armory will be stocked full of clothing, linens, housewares, furniture, books, shoes and electronics.
Refreshments will also be available for hungry and thirsty shoppers, with local Boy Scout Troop No. 109 selling hot dogs, vegetarian hot dogs, and regular and diet beverages.
Board member emeritus Pat Cade, who initiated the rummage fundraiser 30 years ago on behalf of the county's homeless animals, will again be present at this year's event.
