Three well-known Watauga County residents will tell stories about their experiences at Appalachian State University and the town of Boone during a presentation at Belk Library and Information Commons on Thursday, April 28.

Bob Snead, retired vice chancellor of development and public affairs; Ned Trivette, retired vice chancellor of business affairs; and Wade Wilmoth, former mayor of Boone, will present "Tall Tales from Boone Drug" at 3:30 p.m. in Room 421 in the library.

The three have spent many hours at the lunch counter at Boone Drug on King Street telling humorous tales about their days at Appalachian and in Boone, many of which they will share with the audience.

Admission is free, and a reception will follow the program. For more information, call Lynn Patterson at (828) 262-2087.
