Summer Dance Series begins June 3 at ASU
The Summer Dance Series, sponsored by the Department of Theatre
and Dance, begins June 3 at Appalachian State University.
The series, which runs through June 26, will offer mixed beginning-level classes, featuring a variety of dance styles and bodywork classes. The classes are open to the public.

All classes will be held in Varsity Gym, room 208. Open classes will be Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Intermediate and advanced technique classes will be held Wednesdays, from 5:30 to 6:45 or 7 p.m. The last week of June, all classes will meet from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.
The series offers mixed beginning level classes with rotating teachers, dance styles and bodywork classes, as well as African, Rockette/jazz, hip-hop, modern, jazz, yoga, musical theater, ballet, gyrokinesis, tribal belly dance and more.
There is no obligation to attend all classes. Children ages 10 and older are welcome, and younger children are welcome with an adult. Many of these classes are child-friendly, and the class descriptions will state so. In lieu of a class fee, donations are welcome.
