The Watauga Humane Society (WHS) is asking the High Country to save a date for its annual Fur Ball fundraiser.
As WHS's Cindy Cafaro said, "It's time to put on your dancing shoes and step out to save hundreds of precious animal lives."
The Fur Ball is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 17, from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center in Boone.
"This year's theme is 'Staying Alive,' and that is exactly what you will be doing by attending ... helping animals stay alive in Watauga County," Cafaro said.
Fur Ball activities include a live auction, silent auction, wine raffle, dinner and dancing to the band, Soul Affirmation, formerly known as Laditude.
Tickets cost $100 per person or $1,000 for a table of 10.
"Please do not miss this chance to dress up, step out, have a great evening and, most importantly, help save a precious animal life here in Watauga County," Cafaro said.
