Mountain ValleyFest May 21
The fifth annual Mountain ValleyFest is coming to Green Valley Park on May 21, promising a day of family fun, live music and food aplenty.
The festival serves as a fundraiser for Green Valley Park and Mountain Pathways Montessori School, while serving fun to goers of all ages.
Kids' activities include a moonwalk, giant slide, obstacle course, face painting, balloon animals, arts and crafts, and more, while live entertainment comes courtesy of storyteller and musician Mike Lowe and bands Freegrass, Folk & Dagger, Diana Wilcox and Sarvis Ridge, Upright & Breathin' and Melissa Reaves.
Food is catered by Makoto's, Reid's Catering, Jersey Mike's and Carolina Barbeque, with more to come.
The Mountain ValleyFest also promises crafts aplenty, with a variety of vendors and information booths already signed up, including Bethany Fiber Flock, Grassy Creek Pottery, Mary Kay, Todd Ruritan Club, Jane Campbell and Carol Lowe Fiber Arts, and Elkland Art Center. Booth space is still available with a May 20 registration deadline.
