Library Book Sale May 19-21

The Friends of the Watauga County Public Library are hosting their annual used book sale at the Boone Mall May 19-21, featuring adult hardback books for $1 and up, adult paperbacks for 50 cents and up, children's books for 25 cents and up, and specialty books for $2 and up.

The members-only preview sale takes place Thursday, May 19, from 4 to 9 p.m., and those interested may register with the Friends to take part.

The sale opens to the general public Friday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday, May 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All proceeds benefit the library, and folks are encouraged to come early for the best selection.
In other library news, the Watauga, Wilkes and Ashe libraries will close on Friday, May 20, for annual staff training.
