For 26 years, Lee Sayre, golf pro and owner of Mountaineer Golf Center Driving Range in Boone, has presented Junior Golf Clinics, which allow children interested in golf to learn from the pros.

Designed for ages 7 to 17, 2014’s Junior Golf Clinics will take place Tuesday and Thursday, May 20 and 22, from 4 to 6 p.m. each day. Sessions cost $5 apiece, which includes balls, clubs, instruction, prizes and more.

Furthermore, instruction comes courtesy of area golf professionals.

Mountaineer Golf Center is located at 115 Beverly Heights Ave., just behind Papa John’s Pizza off N.C. 105 in Boone. For more information, call (828) 264-6830.
