Introducing Sugar Brew
Sugar Mountain Resort is brewing up another fun, mountain festival.
SugarBrew will take place from Saturday, Aug. 4, from noon to 6 p.m.
Visitors can sample an array of craft, import and domestic beer and wines, while listening to live music by local favorites The King Bees, The Johnson Brothers and Soul Benefactor.
Participating breweries include Abita Beer, Blue Point Brewing Company, Brooklyn Brewery, French Broad Brewing, Front Street Brewery, The Lagunitas Brewing Company, LoneRider Brewing Company, Natty Greene’s Brewing Co., Magic Hat Brewing Company, Olde Hickory Brewery, Port City Brewing Company, Rail House Brewery, Roth Brewing Company, RJ Rockers Brewing Company, Samuel Adams, Spaten, Terrapin Beer Co. and Thomas Creek Brewery.
To accompany the libation, Sugar’s furnishing America-style summertime food, like hot dogs, hamburgers, sodas and ice cream.
SugarBrew also features ski-lift rides to Sugar’s 5,300-foot peak, promising cool temperatures and fresh air. “Some kind of winter is always in the air on Sugar,” marketing director Kim Jochl said.
In addition, Sugar Mountain Sports Shop will have 30 to 70 percent off all winter merchandise, and discounted 2012-13 winter season passes to Sugar Mountain Resort can be purchased.
General admission and parking are free.
