High Country Praise Festival
Son's Light Ministries invites the public to attend the High
Country Praise Festival 2010 on Sunday, Sept. 5, at the Holmes Center on the campus of Appalachian
State University.
This year's lineup includes nationally known recording artists The Afters,
Fireflight, and 7 - Miles.
Kirk Cameron will deliver the message. Appalachian State University's
head football coach Jerry Moore and wide receiver Blake Elder will also be speaking.
This year's
festival will include the sixth annual "Stars In His Crown" Christian Talent Search on Saturday,
Aug. 28, and the SonRun 5K on Saturday, Sept. 4.
There will also be an outdoor concert and
inflatables (weather permitting) at the Holmes Center on Sunday, Sept. 5, at 3 pm.
Information
related to area host churches and hotels is also available for those who might want to stay
overnight.
"We want young people to join us for a weekend of Christian fellowship and worship
through a variety of activities," a spokesperson for the event said.
Doors will open for
Sunday's event at 3:30 p.m. and the day will conclude at 8 p.m.
