Gun & Knife Show April 5-6
High Country Shows is locked and loaded for its annual High
Country Gun & Knife Show in Spruce Pine.
Now in its third year of operation, High Country Shows will present its family-friendly annual event Saturday and Sunday, April 5 and 6, with vendors from several states displaying quality merchandise at affordable prices.
In addition to guns, knives and ammo, vendors are offering military surplus items, survival gear and supplies, freeze-dried foods and other emergency essentials. The show will take place at a new location this year, the Cross Street Commerce Center off N.C. 226.
This show will feature an abundance of items designed specifically for women, reportedly the fastest growing segment of the firearms market place. Shoppers will also find a wide variety of clothing, purses, belts, holsters, caps and small self-defense items, like pepper sprays, and other novelties.
Once again, the show will offer local residents the opportunity to display a few guns and/or knives for sale at “Trader’s Corner,” where private individuals can meet with others in the community to buy, sell or trade their treasures. No more than three guns will be allowed per entry, and all firearms must be strapped upon entering the facility. Visitors are also encouraged to enter the drawings available for a wide selection of gift items.
As always, Bubba’s Good Eats will be serving up its award-winning barbecue with baked beans, coleslaw, hot rolls and hush puppies; on the sweet side, the Tri-County Christian School will set out an array of home-baked delicacies, including whole pies and cakes to take home.
Show hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $8 for one day or $10 for both days. For more information, visit http://www.highcountryshows.com.
