Groovy Nights III benefits Watauga County


Due to the overwhelming response and demand, musical comedy "Groovy Nights III," featuring lip-synched hits from the past, returns to Blowing Rock Sunday, Aug. 14, at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 7:30 p.m., and Friday, Aug. 19, at 7:30 p.m.

Performances will be held in the ballroom at the Blowing Rock Country Club.

All proceeds will benefit the Blowing Rock Community Foundation to be used for scholarships to area students and for grants to local organizations.

Tickets cost $25, and patrons are invited to donate at various levels to have their name included in the program and receive other perks. Levels include Teen Angels at $500, Elvis the King at $300 and Rolling Stones at $100.

"Groovy Nights III" will also feature refreshments and a cash bar.
