Downtown Boone’s Easter EGGstravaganza returns Saturday, March 31, starting at 1:30 p.m. at the Watauga County Library.
The Downtown Boone Development Association, the Jones House Community Center and the Watauga County Public Library, in conjunction with many local business sponsors, are announcing the 2012 Easter Egg-Stravaganza.
The event will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, at the Watauga County Library.
Storytelling and arts and crafts will entertain the children, followed by an Easter Parade to the Jones House Community Center for the Easter Egg Hunt.
Children up to the age of 10 will hunt for candy-filled eggs and “golden eggs” that can be traded for a prize given by area merchants.
In case of bad weather, the activities will be at the Watauga County Public Library. The decision on the bad weather plan will be made by 10 a.m. on the day of the event.
In addition, volunteers are needed for the event from 11 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Those interested in helping are asked to call (828) 262-4532.
