Dallas Reese performs in Banner Elk July 7
The Dallas Reese Trio hits Banner Elk for the third show in the Banner Elk Chamber of Commerce's Concert in the Park series.
The concert starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Tate Evans Town Park stage behind Bank of America on N.C. 194.
Dallas Reese is a bandleader, musician, singer-songwriter, DJ and voice actor, who grew up just outside of Charlotte in Concord. He has been performing at thousands of events around the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic since graduating from Appalachian State University with a degree in communications.
Reese performs dueling piano shows, duos and full-band gigs across the Carolinas, as well as DJing for corporate events, weddings, fairs and festivals.
His current band includes Greensboro native Rob Massengale on bass and vocals, Connecticut native and Durham resident Doug Carger on drums, flute and vocals, and Wisconsin native and Charlotte resident Ray Misebauer on guitar and vocals.
Reese currently hosts a weekday afternoon radio show, from 2 to 6 p.m. on 91.7 WSGE in Charlotte.
Concert-goers are encourage to bring chairs or blankets and coolers. Food will also be available for purchase, as will raffle tickets for prizes, as well as for a cash drawing. Admission is free.
This week, Trish Daniels, "Face Painter Extraordinaire," will be in the park transforming faces into works of art.
