Crossnore hosts benefit run Sept. 10

A Crossnore School student prepares for the Run, Walk, Crawl for Hope, scheduled for Sept. 10.
The Crossnore School will sponsor a Run, Walk, Crawl for Hope — a1K fun run and 5K run — on Saturday, Sept. 10.
The
race will begin and end at Miracle Grounds Coffee Café & Creamery
in downtown Crossnore, and registration will be held from 7:15 to 8:15
a.m.
The 1K fun run is for ages 10 and younger, with race start time at 8:30 a.m. Registration on race day is $10.
Each
finisher of the 1K fun run will receive a participation medal and a
ticket to receive a free ice cream cone from Miracle Grounds Coffee Café
& Creamery.
The 5K run is for ages 11 and older, with start time at 9 a.m. Registration on race day is $25.
Individual
awards will be given to the top three finishers in the men’s and
women’s 5K division. First place is $100, with second place at $50 and
third place at $25. A special award of $200 will be given to the school
with the most entries.
At the finish line after the race will be live music, food, awards and prize drawings.
All proceeds will benefit the children who call The Crossnore School both home and school.
