Café Night at Hospitality House
Hospitality House resident chef Allison Jennings invites the community to Café Night and an open house at the Hospitality House of Boone this Thursday.
Hospitality House invites the communities of its seven mountain county region to dinner and an open house Thursday, Aug. 23, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Hospitality House resident chef Allison Jennings, along with the Unitarian Universalist Church, will prepare a wholesome meal for residents and community members.
“Our vision is to bring the community together, feed everyone a delicious home cooked meal, and let them experience all that we have to offer at Hospitality House,” director of development Todd Carter said. “We are committed to the sustainability of life, community and environment, and Hospitality Café Night is a social way for people to see first-hand what we are all about.”
Tours of The Gardens at Hospitality House, as well as the award-winning facility, will be given throughout the evening, giving High Country residents a chance to learn about the ongoing solar initiative project, Live Fully wellness program and upcoming onsite GED courses.
The meal is free of charge, but seating is limited, so interested parties should RSVP to Todd Carter at (828) 264-1237 or visit http://www.hospitalityhouseofboone.org/events to save a seat.
The first meal will begin at 5:30 p.m., and dinner will be served until 7:30 p.m. The atmosphere will be casual and child-friendly. Everyone in the community is invited to participate. Hospitality House is located at 338 Brook Hollow Road, off Bamboo Road, in Boone.
