The town of Boone will host a couple of events in the coming weeks to help tidy up area roads and residences.

This Saturday, April 13, through, Saturday, April 27, participate in the town’s Litter Sweep to clear your property of litter and debris.

Town residents will receive an additional free curbside pickup of collected debris (household junk/bulk items, yard debris or brush). Call the Public Works Department at (828) 268-6230 to schedule a pickup.

The semi-annual Boone Cleanup Day takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20. Adopt-a-Street organizations and other volunteers are encouraged to stop by the Public Works Center at 321 E. King St. to pick up cleaning supplies and be assigned a location to clean if needed.

From noon to 1:30 p.m., the Public Works Center will serve free refreshments.
For more information, call (828) 268-6230.
