Barbecue for a cause

On Monday, Oct. 1, from 5 to 9 p.m., Bandana’s Bar-B-Que and Grill in Boone will give 10 percent of its proceeds to the Community Care Clinic.
Bandana’s, located at 1475 N.C. 105 south in Boone, has been serving the High Country since 1966. The restaurant is a local favorite, specializing in Western Carolina-style barbecue.
The Community Care Clinic is an independent agency whose mission is to provide health care to low-income, uninsured community residents. Through disease prevention, continuity of care and active follow-up, the clinic promotes the health and wellbeing of the community. The clinic is located 141 Health Center Drive in Boone.
