BRAHM hosts Main Street Mingle
The Blowing Rock Art and History Museum will host a “Main Street Mingle” for downtown merchants and businesses on Thursday, Dec. 8, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
“We want to give business owners an opportunity to see what the museum offers and learn about how it can attract people to patronize downtown merchants,” said BRAHM executive director Joann Mitchell.

Open House and Gingerbread House Workshop
Join BRAHM for a Holiday Open House and Gingerbread House Workshop on Sunday, Dec. 11, from 2 until 4 p.m.
Admission to the museum will be free and light seasonal refreshments, including stollen from Stick Boy Bread Company, will be served.
The Gingerbread House workshop begins at 2:30 p.m. in the Education Center and costs $10 ($9 for BRAHM members). The houses will be no-bake with a graham cracker base and all materials will be provided. Pre-registration for the workshop is required by Dec. 8. Wellness and Yoga Classes
BRAHM is expanding its “Find the ME in the Museum” series with Thursday morning yoga classes.
Classes will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 8, 15 and 22; Jan. 5, 12, 19 and 26; and Feb. 2, 9, 16 and 23. Participants can purchase a five-class card, which includes a complimentary sixth class, for $60 (or $10 a class). The card may be used for any of the offered classes, but must be used during the 12-week period. The fee without a card is $12.
Participants should wear comfortable, loose clothing and bring a yoga mat. Each class will be taught by one of three certified yoga instructors.
