Antler Realty hosts Woolly Worm Warm-Up
Antler Realty has something special for the early birds here
this weekend — and it’s not a worm.
There will be plenty of worms to go around Saturday and Sunday during the Woolly Worm Festival.
But on Friday, from 6 to 9 p.m., owner and broker Julia Heinlein is inviting the public to her downtown Antler Realty location for a weekend warm-up of eats and treats at 146 Shawneehaw Ave.
Before the 36th annual Banner Elk Woolly Worm Festival kicks off at 9 a.m. Saturday, Antler Realty starts its own festivities Friday evening.
For those woolly worm pre-gamers, Antler Realty is offering a chance to chow down on the famous pepperoni chili by Boone chef “Big Mo” Hampton, enjoy a variety of beverages in the barn area, get their favorite color on with Trish Daniels, who will be doing face paintings, and top off the evening by the backyard bonfire, where revelers can roast Ghirardelli s’mores.
“This is going to be the best woolly worm weekend ever because of the fantastic weather,” Heinlein said. “Come get warmed up the night before in front of our big bonfire!”
Heinlein also promised a surprise visit from a special guest.
The Antler Woolly Worm Warm-Up is not affiliated with the actual festival, so any tips or donations Friday night go directly to the Banner Elk Fire & Rescue Auxiliary.
