Acting Up for Summer

The Watauga Arts Council has opened registration for its annual
Summer Arts Camp, featuring Missoula Children’s Theatre.
The camp will take place June 25 to
30, held this year at Watauga High School Auditorium. Camp hours are Monday through Friday, from
9a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday (show day), from 11 a.m. until after the 6 p.m. performance.
The camp is open to rising first- through rising 10th-graders and features workshops in
storytelling, music, improvisation, the visual arts and more.
The featured highlight of the
arts camp is a production of “The Secret Garden,” which children will rehearse throughout the week
and then perform for the community on Saturday, June 30, at 3 and 6 p.m.
Registration
is $175 for the first child (which includes two tickets to the final production and a complimentary
DVD) and $150 for each additional child in a family. Scholarships are available for families in
need.
