ASU Repertory Orchestra, Concert Band perform Feb. 21

Music lovers will be able to enjoy the complexities of an orchestra performance, as well as the rousing concert band compositions during a joint performance by the Appalachian Repertory Orchestra and Appalachian Concert Band Feb. 21.

The free performance begins at 8 p.m. in Broyhill Music Center"s Rosen Concert Hall at Appalachian State University.

Dr. James Allen Anderson directs the orchestra, which will perform Peter Warlock"s "Capriol Suite," "Andante Festivo" by Jean Sibelius and Gustav Holst"s "Brook Green Suite."

Dr. John Stanley Ross conducts the Appalachian Concert Band. Lester R. Turner is the graduate conductor. The band will perform Roger Cichy"s "Centennial Fanfare," Darren W. Jenkins" "Ballade," Sean O"Loughlin"s "Spirals of Light," John Philip Sousa"s "The Fairest of the Fair March" and Samuel R. Hazo"s "Exultate."
