The Walker Center, on the campus of Wilkes Community College, will present “A Leahy Family Christmas” on Thursday, December 8 at 8 p.m. This performance is sponsored by Hardee’s.

Leahy is the Canadian powerhouse of eight musical brothers and sisters who mystify audiences whenever they play. The band is a whirlwind triple-threat of fiddle-driven music, dance, and vocals augmented by keyboards and percussion. Their music combines the influence of their Irish and Scottish roots with their inherent desire to widely travel the musical map.

“A Leahy Family Christmas” gives them the chance to share a bit of the magic of the Christmas season that began as children and still continues today. Leahy will focus their set-list mainly on Christmas favorites, original seasonal pieces as well as typical Leahy fare that audiences have come to love. This is a holiday show no one will ever forget!

A limited number of tickets are available for this performance. For more information, or to purchase tickets, contact the Walker Center Box Office at (336) 838-6260 or (

The John A. Walker Community Center is dedicated to being the primary venue for cultural experience in Wilkes and surrounding areas and to serving as the preferred gathering place for meetings, receptions, conventions, banquets, and parties for our community.

The Walker Center and Wilkes Community College are 100% Tobacco Free.
