Gadabouts Catering and the Best Western Mountain Lodge in Banner Elk have cooked up a business partnership.

The local catering company will now occupy the hotel’s meeting and banquet space, offering its celebrated food and professional service in a well-established venue.

Gadabouts’ relocated to the North Carolina High Country in 2004 from Charlotte and has offered off-premise catering to weddings, as well as social and corporate events.

The meeting and banquet space at the Best Western encompasses 3,600 square feet and is suitable for a variety of occasions. In addition, the restaurant will be open to the public for special events, the first being Sunday, May 11, for a Mother’s Day buffet. Menu offerings will include Gadabouts famous shrimp and grits, roast prime rib of beef and chicken Florentine. The facility has full ABC permits, and the bar will be open. Plus, all mothers will get a locally grown tulip to enjoy with their meal.

Gadabouts will still offer full service catering for off premise events and has recently procured a mixed beverage off-premise catering permit. Services include not only food and beverage, but also china and linens, as well.
